Bilingual Family and Community Coordinator
Location: Westmorland-Albert (Shediac, Cap-Pelé, Port Elgin, Memramcook, Moncton, Sackville)

Job Summary:
Join our team to support families and children in achieving their goals. Reporting to the
Executive Director, the Family and Community Coordinator provides essential support,
information, resources, mediation, and advocacy to children and families. This role involves
organizing and delivering developmental programs, activities, and events in collaboration with
community partners, as outlined in our Workplan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide education, support, and resources to families through community programming.

Create and promote events for families with children from birth to six years.

Facilitate parent support and mentoring, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Maintain knowledge of community resources and provide referrals.

Collaborate with and mentor staff members.

Promote activities and events, keeping families informed.

Maintain accurate program statistics and family records.

Qualifications Education, Training and Experience:

Social services, early childhood, education, degree or diploma
-
First Aid/CPR certification, Food Safety and Car Seat Technician Certifications are assets (must be willing to obtain).

Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle

Skills and Abilities:
-
Knowledge of child development and milestones; familiarity with the Early Childhood Framework is a plus.

Experience with adult group facilitation.

Data collection and reporting skills.
-
Strong communication skills; bilingualism required.
-
Non-judgmental, respectful, and supportive attitude.
-
Ability to build positive relationships with diverse clients.
-
Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity.
Terms:
-
Up to 20 hrs. hours per week (option for scholastic calendar)
-
$21.00 per hour plus 4% vacation pay
